Our history

Talent-spotter and pioneering digital culture

Founded in 2009, Le Rêve Africain is an association that has taken the bold step of connecting African artists with professionals from all over the world, thanks to the internet and a unique tool: the Afro Pepites Show. It's the first Trade Show for Afro Arts open to all artistic disciplines, just like a business fair, but in a 100% digital version. Each year, a committee of professionals and members of the public select three favourite artists, who are supported via our distribution network and, in some cases, via our dedicated management label.

Building on its 10 years of expertise, the association is launching an ambitious Tour of Africa in 2020, to pass on the keys to digital technology to cultural players and bring the ethos of the ‘African Dream’ to life. The project, which was interrupted by the pandemic, remains at the heart of our mission.

Today, after 15 years of commitment, discovery and artistic support, the association is entering a new phase. On 15 January 2025, it will open the show to those who have not yet been selected, with the launch of the Motherland Show application. A B2B and B2C application with all the features of a business show, making its missions accessible all year round to all talents looking for visibility, tools and lasting connections.
