Biography

Mahershoea is talented. It is often said that it is deep, attractive to everyone. Attractive, his work combines colorful representations of social conditions with the mystical symbols of Malagasy culture. It is an astonishing combination that has allowed Mahersiao to occupy a prominent place in the world of culture in Madagascar. In his youth, the artist was more interested in “manga” (Japanese culture) but he did not stay in drawing for long. His skills range from painting to sculpture. It is inspired by Malagasy mysteries, and now sacred pearls, “talismans” and other “artifacts” are reflected in its products. Since the first exhibition in 2015 until today, Mahersiao has developed an inimitable style. His digital works, in addition to regular exhibitions, develop his notoriety and allow him to show his work to as many people as possible, beyond the territory of the island. Mahiserosa, in his paintings and on the Internet, is a witness to the situation in the country. He carries his culture high, highlighting the reality of a society with underdeveloped values.
